Family Blessings
For the past couple of weeks I have been reflecting a lot on the family that God has given to me. I guess we can all play the “what-if game”. What if I had never heard about Jesus and His love? What if I had never gone to AR to teach and met Bob? What if Sarah had died from the blood infection she had in Brazil? What if it were our car in Sao Paulo that was surrounded by gunmen instead of the car behind us? My ”what-if game” could go on and on. I am just so blessed to be where I am right now and blessed that even on the darkest of paths, He leads us unto a lighted path by His Word and His grace. And I look at my children and realize that they are blessed because of the grace God has given unto us as their parents. How many children in this world do not know what it is to be loved and cherished and have the security of two parents who love them unconditionally? I pray every day that God will put into our family’s path, children who we can help and love; men and women that we can share the love and hope that God has given to us. In the past couple of weeks I have made it more of a point to focus on what my children are really saying to me and cherish the activities we do and make even the little things fun. Bob said the other night to me, “Our little boy is growing up right before our eyes!”. It made me sad. Time slips away so quickly and I find that I get irritated by things that really don’t matter ( like sticky tea messes and scraps of paper scattered throughout the house because of a little boy making paper airplanes, etc, etc. ) I just love my family so much!! I love the children God has given to me!! Just thought I would share some pictures I have taken these past couple of weeks.

Bob and Sophia eating sweet red peppers and being silly. Bob has a lot of fun with the kids. : )

My sweet angel-girl, Sarah Grace. She has my personality, poor girl!! I understand her so well!

Getting ready for our family movie night.

Rosebud likes our family movie night, too. She is a great puppy!

Fun outdoor day of sledding.

Bob and Sophia.

Those are great pics. The sledding looks fun!
Thank you, for sharing your thoughts & the pictures of my beautiful granchildren, it is a blessing to me to see you all. I love you all!!!
Great thoughts, Heather. It’s so easy for me to think only about my own kids, and not worry about others. You’ve given me something to think about. I love the pictures, and I’m thinking that dog is too cute stretched out there by the girls!
