Eurasia Outreach Trip

I thought I would just share some of my husband’s trip he went on with Andrew Bunnell.  They have been home now for 2 weeks.   They were able to assist hundreds of refugees with money to buy heaters and supplies.  It is amazing and intriguing as to how people can survive on the bare nesessities.  The highlight of Bob’s trip was attending a thriving church in the Republic of Georgia.  The people have gone through great trials; their country was bombed; they lost many loved ones.  Yet, they still have freedom in Christ!!  It is convicting to see the pictures and watch the video of these dear Christians praising God for Who He is!!  Despite of all they have been through and all that has been taken from them through war, they still lift their hands and their hearts to the Living God.   Armenia was the country they went to next.  Bob got amazing photos of Mt. Ararat.  He was on the border of Turkey and Iran.  I cannot go into detail about the trip in Armenia.  I will just say that the Gospel of Christ is being distributed to people who have been forgotten – or should I say, people who some would like to forget??  Christ died for those who are steeped in horrible traditions.

These are refugees that live in an old abondoned hospital.  This is the only water souce they have for hundreds and hundreds of people.  This water is used for drinking and laundry and bathing.  Everywhere Bob and Andrew went, people just wanted to tell their story.  They wanted someone to listen.

This was an occupied apartment building when the bombs hit.  The picture above was an occupied army housing unit.  The soldiers were sleeping when Russia invaded.  All that is left are the steel frames of their beds.

This is the only heater the refugees have in their rooms.  They use it also to cook.   This was a wonderful Baptist church where the spirit of God was so evident.  Bob said the spirit reminded him so much of our church in Brazil.  Andrew took video of these Christians singing.  It is energizing and I imagine Heaven will be filled with music like that of this church in the Republic of Georgia.

This is Mt. Ararat, where Noah’s Ark is.  This Mt. is HUGE …. it seperates Iran, Turkey and Armenia.  There is so much history behind this mountain.   Bob and Andrew went up a large mountain and at the top was this pagan temple used in 500 B.C. !!     On the way down from this mountain, the car they were in was just inches from going off the edge.  It was snowing and icy.  I am so glad that the Lord kept them safe.    There are a lot of things that happend on their trip that there are no pictures for.  They met a lot of contacts … a lot of men that want to go into their restricted-access countries.  Please pray that Bob and Andrew will be able to get materials safely into their hands to further their efforts to reach people for Christ.
